Remote monitoring, management, control, and quality verification The European Union (EU)-funded TELEMAC project evaluated a "telecontrol center" to remotely combine information from distributed plants to combine operational expertise and to demonstrate the capability of a network of remote experts (Dixon et al., 2007), while the aspects of the TELEMAC project addressing generalizing control data over various scope and scale economy, as well as overall supervision and control was reviewed (Gallop et al., 2007). (2007) presented a decision support system for the management and operation of decentralized wastewater treatment plants which used 3-D visualization techniques to enhance operator plausibility checks, error diagnosis, solution proposals, and optimization efforts.
