Zusammenfassung:ConclusionThis article focuses on the development and application of a model for real-time information at the patients’ side in an APMS setting. The model would provide relevant patient information and evidencebased clinical practice guidelines and alerts at the point of care. The computerized data resulting from the model would provide valuable information for researchers, clinicians, and administrators to assist in improving quality, effectiveness and efficiency in the health care setting. The clinical application of this model for acute pain management has the potential for a broad application within health care delivery.
