A Field Guide to Wildflowers of the Sandhills Region: North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia

Within each community, plants are organized by flower color, but it can be difficult to determine which color one is currently in since some multi-colored flowers don't fit well in any one section and several plants have only their fruit illustrated (holly, sumac, muscadine) but are still categorized based on their flowers. Each treatment includes a description of key traits, information on range and preferred habitat types, and some background on natural history, similar species, or etymology of the name.
