Laparoscopic enucleation of a single adrenal tumour in a patient suffering from primary hyperaldosteronism

Since the first laparoscopic cholecystectomy was performed in 1987, laparoscopic surgery is used in an ever increasing range of indications. Some of the laparoscopic procedures have already become a gold standard. The well known advantages of partial adrenalectomy encouraged us to perform an excision of a hormonally active adenoma using the laparoscopic approach. We present a case of a woman with primary hyperaldosteronism caused by adrenal adenoma, on whom we performed laparoscopic partial adrenalectomy, and we observed regression of Conn's syndrome symptoms.
