Zusammenfassung: | During the 2008 season of the Mopsos Landscape Archaeology Project, having distinguished curious areas of potential archaeological interest on high resolution satellite imagery, a survey team entered the field and identified a moderately sized hoyuk (mound) approximately 11 km northeast of Arsuz (Ancient Rhosus). The site known locally as Dagilbaz Hoyuk, yielded a considerable quantity of archaeological material, including a sizeable assemblage of Eastern Terra Sigillata a pottery. Among these sherds, an inscribed potsherd was identified. |
