Zusammenfassung: | Historically funding for universities has been enrollment based. By incorporating graduation rates into funding formulas, universities may become more accountable for students graduating. We need to examine what faculty teaching online can do to improve the likelihood of students graduating. Interventions for traditional teaching may be applicable to online teaching. However, are there considerations that may be more applicable to just online teaching, or need more emphasis online? The purpose of this paper is to determine what can be done by faculty who teach classes online to improve student graduation rates. Ten ways to improve student graduation rates are discussed.
