LE ROLE STRATEGIQUE DES HOMMES-ORCHESTRES DANS L'ECOSYSTEME DES POLES DE COMPETITIVITE

The globalization of economy stimulates regions to specialization and the research of competitive advantage. From October 2007 to June 2010, we study 4 innovative ecosystems, networks of public and private stakeholders in Silicon Valley, Israel, Morocco and France. During this study, we detected some individuals who play a key role of brokerage in the ecosystems' performance thanks to their social capital, technical expertise and their entrepreneurial skills. What is the profile of these boundary spanners? What are the conditions requested to qualify an individual as a boundary spanner? Are there some cultural specificities between boundary spanners? What motivates boundary spanners to connect internal and external stakeholders of innovative ecosystems? [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
