Zusammenfassung:Plutonium isotopes are the most long living among artificial radionuclides. It is characteristic of the Barents and Kara seas that the anthropogenic radionuclides are transported directly both from the archipelago from the nuclear explosions in the atmosphere and sea and from global fallout. It is known that precisely the bottom sediments in the seas are currently one of the main plutonium reservoirs.
