Zusammenfassung: | Anterior cross bite is one of the most common orthodontic problems that we observe in growing children. Anterior cross bite usually occurs in the primary and mixed dentition as a result of disharmony in either the skeletal, functional or dental components of the orthognathic system. This case report is of a 15year old boy in permanent dentition with maxillary right peglateral in crossbite. A removable Hawley appliance with Z-spring and posterior bite plane was fabricated for the treatment. The peglateral was built up with acid-etch composite resin. The patient was cooperative and the cross bite was treated in 15 days with good positive overbite. Keywords: Peglateral, Anterior cross bite, Hawleys appliance, Z-spring, Posterior bite plane, Acid-etch composite. |
