Meanwhile Pierre Bourdieus theories and concepts are applied in a variety of scientific disciplines and research fields. This article poses the question if the Habitus as a theoretical perspective could be useful in the context of investigating ambiguous forms of gender in empirical analyzes. The possibilities of using the Habitus as a conceptual basis to describe change and transformation and the question how to specify the process of embodiment by using further theoretical perspectives shall be addressed and illustrated through an empirical example.[PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
