“Research Proves”: Education's Biggest Lie

If scientists who study longitudinal data on the Earth's temperature and physicians who have placebos at their disposal for double-blind tests of a drug's effectiveness can't even agree on what's true and what is conjecture, what is the lowly educational researcher to do with findings from studies whose "hard" evidence is as soft as cotton candy? [...] (although I could go on and on), it has been shown that gifted children in dual language programs show an increase in their cultural awareness.
