Zusammenfassung:The cathode ray tube (CRT) monitor consists of alternating patterns of red, green and blue color phosphor pixels at fixed spacing. Convergence relates to a monitor's ability to match red, green and blue colors to form white. The misconvergence or misalignment of the colors results in incorrect rendition of colors, particularly at the edges. Misconvergence is an important measure of the performance of a CRT monitor. This paper presents a technique for measuring misconvergence of a color monitor by processing monochrome images of specific patterns displayed on the monitor. The technique overcomes problems due to color cross talk, video/image jitter, and lens distortion. Also, the measurement time is shorter by an order of a magnitude over traditional methods, opening up possibilities for real time feedback for accurate alignment.
