Zusammenfassung:The glass formation was investigated in the R ^sub 2^O-B^sub 2^O^sub 3^ and R ^sub 2^O-SiO^sub 2^ binary systems and the R ^sub 2^O-B^sub 2^O^sub 3^-SiO^sub 2^ ternary systems, where R = Rb or Cs. Glasses in the R ^sub 2^O-B^sub 2^O^sub 3^, R ^sub 2^O-SiO^sub 2^, and R ^sub 2^O-B^sub 2^O^sub 3^-SiO^sub 2^ (R = Rb, Cs) systems were synthesized. Glasses in the R ^sub 2^O-B^sub 2^O^sub 3^-SiO^sub 2^ systems with a high B^sub 2^O^sub 3^ content were synthesized for the first time.
