What Was the Labor Theory of Value?

This paper will attempt to establish, or at least affirm, two points; first-based mainly on accepted interpretations that no major economist of the classical period held what would, by modern usage, be called a labor theory of value; second, that the three most eminent alleged labor theorists did nevertheless hold what could be accurately called a labor theory, but in a different and radically distinct sense of that term.
