Omkring digteren Johannes Jørgensen: Artikler og essays 1959-2009

Even the casual reader of Jorgensen will know that the author was prolific both as a poet and as a prosaist yet Jorgensen's many neo-romantic poems from his youthful, pre-Catholic period are largely neglected in favor of his post-conversion historical novels about medieval saints and assorted beatific figures (most of them Italian) that are central to Catholic ecclesiastical tradition. The red thread running through Omkring digieren Johannes Jørgensen, and one that is clearly of paramount importance in any discourse on Jørgensen, is the question of how the author's conversion to Roman Catholicism affected both his writing and the reception of his writings in his native Denmark.
