Zusammenfassung: | An abstract of a study by Flores et al determining whether overweight/obese children participating in the Fit Families curriculum improved their dietary intakes after completing a seven week healthy lifestyle program is presented. Results show that children participating in Fit Families reported significant improvements in composite intake of healthy foods and fruit consumption in particular. Fit Families is one alternative that community nutritionists can consider as a community-based outreach program for children and their families. |
