Zusammenfassung:An abstract of a study by Baxter et investigating whether the relationship between children's body mass index (BMI) and participation in the School Breakfast Program (SBP) and National School Lunch Program (NSLP) depended on the information source of participation is provided. Results indicated that SBP participation, NSLP participation, and combined participation weren't associated with BMI or BMI category regardless of the information source of participation (p - values > 0.602, > 0.128, and > 0.124 using administrative daily records, parental responses, and study records, respectively). For all 3 information sources, age was positively associated with BMI, sex was associated with BMI, and SBP in the classroom was positively associated with BMI.
