More than the visible and invisible difficulties that threaten the industry, what will determine the future of Turkish cinema is the authenticity and originality of its filmmakers, who, after decades of political unrest, rapid changes in society and the heavy hand of censorship, have continually succeeded in proposing alternative and personal perspectives on their realities.
