Zusammenfassung: | The authors' intent with this reply is twofold. First, they would like to express their gratitude to the Editor, Ben Arbaugh, and each of the commentators for an outstanding learning experience. They are grateful to Arbaugh for his feedback during the review process and for the opportunity to serve as the spark for this thought-provoking, interdisciplinary exchange. The authors believe that the best way forward in the study of learning is to work across traditional academic boundaries, bringing together the varied strengths of different fields of study. The authors' second intent is to reflect on the commentaries with an eye toward future research. That is, rather than addressing the commentaries in detail, point-by-point, the authors have taken the liberty to focus on those issues that they feel would be most constructive for future research. They will address each review in turn. |
