Zusammenfassung: | Editorial raises the issue of inconsistency in the usage and capitalization of terms such as deaf by various authors. The lack of agreement in usage raised a larger issue for the editors since there was no clear-cut journal policy to guide authors in use of the upper or lower case for adjectives or nouns referring to groups with different ethnic, minority, disability, or other characteristics. It is noted that the matter will be taken up by the journal review board to develop a policy by which to guide authors in the future. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved) |
