Comments on J. B. Conway's review of the history and current status of clinical training in psychology in Canada. A brief discussion of Canadian professional psychology before World War II is included, along with clarifications of the terms "applied," "clinical," and "professional." The usefulness of the scientist-practitioner model in furthering academic psychology is noted.
