Zusammenfassung:Cult involvement is viewed from a family systems perspective. Individuals are most vulnerable to recruitment when experiencing difficulties in separating from the family of origin. Clinical work with the cult-involved individual and the family is affected by the individual's stage of involvement. At each stage, characteristic cognitive and affective difficulties are evident with specific implications for treatment.
