Zusammenfassung: | Contrary to the usual interpretation of reactive inhibition and stimulus satiation as being negatively related to learning, it is proposed that these 2 terms, conjointly labelled action decrement, are positively related. "Action decrement represents a trace of the perseverative consolidation process, that it is positively related to learning, at least in some instances, and that one can expect operations which produce rapid learning to produce great decrements." A verbal model is presented which has the potentiality of becoming either deductive, neurophysiological, or mathematical. Empirical evidence treats with duration of action decrement and effect of reward, motivation and alternation, amount of decrement and ease of learning, stimulus trace and perseverative consolidation. |
