Zusammenfassung:Reviews the video, Mindful Therapy with Lorne Ladner (2007). Mindfulness has become a topic of great interest to therapists of many theoretical orientations and clinical backgrounds. Interventions that incorporate training in mindfulness skills have been developed for a wide range of populations, problems, and disorders and are now widely available in mental health, medical, and wellness settings. Much of the literature in this area has dealt with structured interventions that have received empirical support in randomized controlled trials. These interventions include acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR). This video is the latest entry in APA's videotape and DVD Series VI. It makes clear, there is excellent potential for effective use of mindfulness training in individual therapy from a variety of theoretical orientations. This DVD features Lorne Ladner, who is interviewed by the host of this series (Jon Carlson) and then provides a demonstration of his approach with an individual adult client. The DVD concludes with some follow-up discussion in which Ladner addresses issues raised by selected clips from the session. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
