Zusammenfassung:Personal interviews with the aid of a standard questionnaire were conducted among a group of 180 negroes in Cleveland. Religious restlessness is more clearly expressed in groups with higher education. Roman Catholic and Baptist churches show an increase in membership, while the Methodist, Presbyterian, and Episcopal churches show a decrease as revealed by changes in affiliation. Influence of friends and relatives, personal solicitation and personal advantage rank highest as reasons for change of denomination.
