Zusammenfassung: | Investigated the validity generalization of a simplified prediction method. The relationships of index scores, determined from a conglomerate of 12 personal characteristics to 3 outcome criteria were tested on a sample of 6,099 clients who were provided rehabilitation services by 1 state agency; then cross-validated on 3,935 nonrehabilitated clients of another state agency. Results demonstrate significant relationships between index scores and the criteria of subsequent occupational adjustment in both agencies. Descriptive (e.g., caseload difficulty) rather than predictive (e.g., client selection) uses of the method are emphasized. |
