Zusammenfassung: | Reviews the book, Leadership: Beyond Establishment Views edited by James G. Hunt, Uma Sekaran, and Chester A. Schriesheim (1982). Most of the contributions in this book implicitly start with the assumption that there is nothing to worry about with regard to the basic core of established leadership and managerial behavior theory and the philosophy of science assumptions that guide it. They see leaders existing in their positions on the organization chart. It is a person, usually a man. They also see the subordinates on the organization chart who have to be led, supervised, and managed in order to perform, be satisfied, and achieve objectives beyond their interests. They also see primarily the narrow context of the leadership situation that moderates or directly affects the leaders' influence. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved) |
