Zusammenfassung: | Reviews the book, Grid Approaches to Managing Stress by Robert R. Blake and Jane Srygley Mouton (1980). the authors developed their grid concept a number of years ago and have applied it to various subjects such as academic administration, sales excellence, and supervisory effectiveness. The purpose of this present volume is to apply the grid to stress management. Starting from the well-founded position that subjective mental states are influential factors in the cause and cure of illness, the authors then present the grid as a framework for understanding how the range and variety of attitudes, styles of handling conflict, and behavior interrelate to predispose one person to a particular illness and another person to a different one.
