The tubes, 3, 4 or 5 mm. bore, are inserted in bamboo tubes and hung in the shade. For purposes of observation the glass tube is slid out of the bamboo. Photographic records of behavior may be made. The author cites an observation of a species of wasp which completely changed its normal building behavior in adaptation to the tube. |
