Zusammenfassung:Reviews the book, Neurosis and Crime by Frances Smart (1970). The author's major thesis is: "Delinquency is a symptom for a neurotic state there is no qualitative difference between neurosis and crime." Dr. Smart studied for three years with C. G. Jung. His theoretical insights are reflected in many of the explanatory sections in which the author presents her views on the genesis of criminal behavior. Particular emphasis is given to distortions in the motherchild relationship leading to an individual's inability to control infantile demands.
