Zusammenfassung: | Reviews the book, Custody Disputes: Evaluation and Intervention by Ruth S. Parry, Elsa A. Broder, Elizabeth A. G. Schmitt, Elisabeth B. Saunders, and Eric Hood (Eds.) (see record 1986-97757-000). This book is a mixture of an informative literature review and discourse on a wide range of issues relevant to resolving custody and visitation disputes, a discussion of the Custody Project, and descriptive data on 116 families. The book has two major strengths. First, it presents a good overview of a major societal problem area to which psychologists potentially have much to contribute. Second, the Custody Project itself has brought together a team of professionals from diverse disciplines to work together in a truly collaborative fashion. As in any edited book, there are problems of continuity and chapter integration. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2017 APA, all rights reserved) |
