Review of Group Psychotherapy with People who are Dying

Reviews the book, Group Psychotherapy with People who are Dying by Steven Phillip Lindenberg (1983). This text, based on the author's doctoral dissertation, chronicles the course of a therapy group with seven women who are dying from cancer. One strength of the text is that it provides access to transcribed interactions and their tie-in to certain "themes," such as reaction to treatment or reactions by family. The writing style hinders rather than helps one to get to essential points. This is, then, a text that is useful as the history of one group's development and the issues they faced.
