Zusammenfassung:Reviews the book, The Ethics and Practice of Applied Sport Psychology by Robert M. Nideffer (1981). The intention to provide direction for the field of applied sport psychology is partially realized in this book. On the one hand, many interesting recent developments and programs are introduced that might help the would-be sport psychologist to be a better clinician. On the other hand, they are often treated quickly and superficially. Presentation style and the sequencing of material might have been planned better. Furthermore, serious omissions in content detract from the appeal of the book. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2016 APA, all rights reserved)
