Decision Mania

Reviews the book, Intelligent Decision Support in Process Environments by Erik Hollnagel, Giuseppe Mancini, and David D. Woods (Eds.) (1986). This book contains the papers and the discussions from an Advanced Study Institute conference held in Copenhagen in September 1985 on the topic of intelligent decision support systems. Its particular orientation is toward industrial application, and its intended audience consists of engineers, plant operators, managers, and those industrial and academic researchers that, in the words of the editors, "collaborate to solve the problems in advanced process control."
