Zusammenfassung: | Reviews the book, The Adolescent Molester by William Breer (1987). This book aims to fill an important gap in the clinical literature on the treatment of teenage boys who sexually victimize younger children. Although this book is intended to describe the "how to" of treating adolescents who molest younger children, the discussion of assessment and treatment strategies is, for the most part, too cursory to be of assistance to the practicing clinician. Although this book provides a good introduction to some of the personality dynamics and interpersonal characteristics of adolescent molesters, it is neither comprehensive nor specific enough to serve as a text in a graduate program or as a guide for most mental health professionals.
