Zusammenfassung: | Reviews the book, Multidisciplinary Assessment of Children with Learning Disabilities and Mental Retardation edited by David L. Wodrich and James E. Joy (1986). The book is surprisingly coherent, given its breadth and diversity. Introductory and concluding chapters by the editors sandwich the eight disciplinary chapters. Finding fault with this book is hard. Nevertheless, the flaws do not blur the overall appeal of the book as a resource for new clinicians involved in assessing and planning interventions for children with learning disabilities and mental retardation. Quite simply, Wodrich and Joy have compiled an informational Brookes book that can be read at first glance on Saturday, and after Sunday's rest and contemplation, can be applied Monday.
