Zusammenfassung: | Reviews the book, Behavioral Assessment in School Psychology by Edward S. Shapiro (see record 1987-97233-000). This book provides clear direction and strategies for implementing a blueprint via an integrated model of assessment, intervention, consultation, and service delivery. The book is designed as a classroom resource for trainees and as a guide for practitioners. Providing a thorough delineation of the conceptual framework for behavioral assessment would be helpful, particularly for a textbook. There are a variety of conceptual models available, including behavior analytic, neobehavioral, cognitive behavioral, and social learning. A particularly annoying aspect is the uneven copy editing and minor factual errors. In general, this book provides an excellent description of strategies for implementing a blueprint of change in service delivery in the schools.
