Corey's fifth edition of Theory and Practice of Counseling and Psychotherapy continues in the same solid tradition of the first four editions. The book is divided into three parts. The first section covers basic issues in counseling practice. The second and most extensive section of the book covers the theories and techniques of counseling. Finally, in the third section of the book, Corey includes a chapter on the integration of the counseling theories and illustrates theoretical integration using a case illustration. This book continues to be a worthwhile choice for the instructor and students of counseling theories courses. Both will appreciate the straightforward presentation of the theories and techniques of counseling and psychotherapy and will be enriched by Corey's discussion of the issues relevant to the developing counselor.
