Zusammenfassung: | An abstract of a study by Hudson et al encouraging low-income Hispanic families to adopt healthy lifestyle behaviors to ameliorate risk factors for chronic disease that have increased as immigrants become acculturated in the US is presented. Health Behavior Change Model's social support within the novella family offers the viewing audience encouragement to make behavior changes. Results show that the post-survey indicated that viewers of telenovela were trying to modify their eating behaviors and increase their physical activity. |
