Zusammenfassung: | An abstract of a study by Dufour et al exploring Inuit parents' perceptions of the Nutrition Program (NP) in Nunavik's daycare centers regarding its influence on the development of healthy eating habits of children is presented. Parents have a positive opinion of the NP. Inuit community members must find ways to ensure the regular supply of country foods at daycare. It is important to understand the relationship between food insecurity and the parents' positive perceptions of the NP. This knowledge will help in planning further evaluation of the program and promoting healthy eating habits among Nunavik children. This project is funded by NRBHSS. |
