Demanda de trabalho no setor industrial do Brasil no período de 2001-2007

Many transformation occurred in the industrial sector in the nineties, like technological changes to increase the competitive and thus could face more intense the external competition. These changes had caused an impact in the labor market. This paper has the proposal to analysis the industry labor market about the factors, which had influence in the numbers of the workers. The long-run relationship estimated cointegration vector between numbers of workers, wage, production, installed capacity use, productivity. This vector is about the estimated elasticity of substitution between the capital and labor and price elasticity of labor demand. The results had been significant and the estimated of the price elasticity of labor demand was - 0,70816 (η^sub LL^) and product demand labor elasticity was 1,607056 (η). [PUBLICATION ABSTRACT]
