Zusammenfassung:The high number of cases of violence against women in Brazil has indicated that the enactment of laws and the severity of the punishment of aggressors are not enough to combat gender-based violence, and it is necessary to implement measures capable of modifying social and cultural standards of conduct based on stereotypical roles for men and women that legitimize violence against women. Thinking about contributing to this change, Women's Police Stations in the State of Goiás have carried out, independently and proactively, campaigns aimed at preventing gender violence. However, not all Police Stations carry out preventive campaigns and, considering this scenario, the aim is to: discuss whether carrying out campaigns constitutes a relevant way of combating violence against women; investigate whether delegates who do not carry out campaigns would start to carry them out if there was institutional standardization; and determine whether standardization would provide more efficiency in public management and better results for preventive work. The exploratory research uses the bibliographical research method, associated with the collection of primary data and, initially, presents a study on the social structures that generate violence against women, with the aim of providing elements for the best way to prevent it. there. Next, an analysis of Knowledge Management and the results obtained through the application of a questionnaire to police chiefs demonstrates that the standardization of campaigns is an important measure for greater efficiency and quality of the preventive service carried out by the Civil Police.
