Zusammenfassung: | This thesis explores the factors affecting college students’ classroom participation through a questionnaire survey targeting students at a private university in Shandong and finds that students’ motivation, teacher-student interactions, and peer relationships affect students’ classroom participation. Based on the analysis of 527 questionnaires recovered, with 65.65% female respondents and 34.35% of male respondents, most of the students in private colleges and universities hold positive attitudes towards learning and classroom participation and perform well in actual classroom participation. In addition, students’ gender and grade level have potential effects on their classroom participation, while the grade level effect seems more significant. Meanwhile, we found that teacher-student interactions, peer relationships, and motivation significantly affected students’ classroom engagement. |
