Zusammenfassung: | Green and clean environment is a need of today’s society. This task can be achieved by designing energy efficient and cost-effective thermal devices. Various theories have been proposed by the investigators pertaining to the development of efficient and cost-effective devices. The present analysis is one step towards achieving the global agenda by designing a novel heat exchanger with an outer Tapered shape shell and round shaped inner tube having twisted strips in the direction of flow. The work carried out here examines improvement in transfer of heat for proposed geometrical configuration. The extensive experimental data generated from the experimental test rig shows improvement in rate of transfer of heat by 15% when compared with the same type of heat exchanger without twisted strip insertion. |
