Zusammenfassung: | The study aimed to assess the agility and endurance of students in the Bachelor of Physical Education, Recreation, and Sports program at the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia (UPTC), Chiquinquirá faculty, and to analyze the relationship between these two capacities. A total of 228 students were analyzed, including 63 females and 165 males, selected through non-probabilistic convenience sampling. The study employed a quantitative, descriptive correlational approach. The intervention involved administering the Léger Test to assess maximum aerobic endurance, determining VO2 Max, and the Illinois Test to establish agility. Upon analysis of the results, it was concluded that the participants demonstrated an agility time of 19.57 ± 2.05 seconds. The participants' VO2 Max was 38.42 ± 4.92 ml/kg/min, and they covered a distance of 890.72 ± 305.90 meters. A weak positive correlation was found between agility and aerobic endurance (VO2 Max) (r=-0.109; p=0.099). The results indicate a slight association between aerobic capacity and the ability to move with agility. |
