Zusammenfassung: | Electric vehicles (EVs) have dominated the global transportation industry in recent years due to their reduced greenhouse gas emissions, environmental friendliness, and reduced reliance on fossil fuels. Compared to vehicles with internal combustion engines (ICE), EVs are reported to have several advantages, including silent operation and higher energy efficiency. Among the several components of an electric vehicle, the battery pack is considered one of the most critical and pivotal element. To ensure proper working, the temperature of the battery pack needs to be maintained within a specified operating range. The current investigation entails the utilization of SolidWorks software to create a model of a Li-ion battery pack consisting of 4 cells connected in series and 4 cells connected in parallel (4s4p configuration). The subsequent step involves performing thermal analysis on the battery pack using ANSYS software, utilising the Joule heating method. The core objective is to analyze a 4s4p Li-ion battery pack from a thermal perspective. The study will be conducted utilising the Joule heating technique after the completion of the modelling phase using the SolidWorks software. The goal is to measure the heat generation and dissipation that takes place within the battery pack during its operation under a load. |
