A thermal-noise-limited fiber frequency reference with 0.1Hz/Hz stability

We develop an all-passive, fiber frequency reference with a state-of-the-art short-term stability of 0.1Hz/Hz. We explore the impact of intrinsic fiber thermal noise and show it limits the system in the 1 Hz Fourier frequency band.
