Zusammenfassung: | Generating electricity from tidal phenomena in the Umm Qasr region, which has the highest tidal values in Iraq, the water may reach a height of more than four meters. System used in this work uses the Archimedes Screw Turbine (AST) as its model. A theoretical study of all parameters and design considerations for an Archimedes screw turbine. Calculated using design formulas, all dimensions and angles are sufficient to produce the highest torque values. This indicates that the torque will be passed through the dynamo to produce electricity with a higher value. The best place for water entrance is at the end, below the center line on the Y axis, which maximizes the torque of the Archimedes screw turbine shaft. The theoretical analysis findings are presented using ANSAS program. The torque recorded was 264.1 Nm, and the ideal angle of alignment between the screw axis and the horizon was determined to be 60°. |
