Zusammenfassung: | The sustainable and effective nanomaterials for photocatalyst are greatly enviable to protect water bodies from organic waste. In this regard, nanocomposite of NiO-PdO-Pd was prepared via sol gel route using organic pattern and scrutinized catalytic agent for remediation of methyl orange (MO) in water. Verification of phase formation in obtained product was done utilizing X-ray diffraction, energy-dispersive spectroscopic analysis, along with Raman spectroscopy while the nano-structures were explored using FE-scanning electron microscopy. Existence of organic functional groups (OFGs) in the obtained product was revealed using Fourier-transform-infrared spectroscopy along with gas-chromatography-mass spectrometry. Functionalized nanocomposite (FN) was studied for degradation of MO both under solar light and under dark environment. Organic compound incorporated NiO-PdO-Pd has demonstrated outstanding catalytic behavior with 96% and 76% degradation of MO under light as well as under dark, within 15 min. Additionally, catalyst has proved to be having excellent stability with pseudo-first-order kinetics under light (
