Zusammenfassung: | [...]as far as Subaltern Officers and Captains education is concerned, on which military leadership training models do they base their training? [...]the study objectives were to identify the Armed Forces Branches of the PALOP, their Military Schools for Subaltern Officers and Captains, the admission criteria, training dimensions and course length and output profile, and their military leadership training models; to confront those models in order to describe their similarities and differences. To achieve those objectives, we opted for a comparative study with a qualitative approach, based on the information collected from their Military Schools and Armed Forces websites. For this purpose, data were collected, analyzed, and synthetized, accordingly with a checklist conceived for this purpose, consisting in the following items: country, Armed Forces branches, selected military schools, admission criteria, training dimensions, course length and output profile, legislative and theoretical framework for leadership. On the other side, the organization of the Armed Forces affects staff training, with a particular focus on the development of military leadership competencies. |
